I will be effectively unreachable and out of commission until September. I will be embarking on an education program around Western Europe as well as studying next semester in Beijing, China. I'm not going to count myself out (never say die), as I still have some really exciting ideas and creative methods with which to brutally slaughter my opponent. The likelihood that I will be able to humanly carry out these ideas, however, is unfortunately very narrow. ): Just wanted to update so that y'all know what happened if things go silent on my end.
(I will literally be somewhere in the middle of the English Channel and the Bay of Biscay so contacting me will be virtually impossible for about 4 weeks starting July 9th)

Hey question! Can trolls from the outside send in messages for contestants? I guess the hosts/judges would look at them first but, I was wondering if that was at all possible. Or are they completely shut off from the world while theyre in there?

They're actually shut off in there! People can spectate and cheer folks on, but the idea was to encourage contestants to interact with each other and write plots that don't rely too much on outside influence.
I know it's a lil bit of a bummer for outside folks, but also I look back and remember the butthurt that happened because of fantroll relationships in fatalgambit and feel like it's best to play safe 'eue'
If you do submit stuff to the spectator folder though you're totally welcome to! Your art is great and I love the idea of community support for the contestants<33

Ah thought so, made sense to be shut in with no contact.
I feel like the worst part of fg was letting us interact inside the oct lmao, that was probably the main source of butthurt but I don't think anyone is interacting outside of rounds anyway so that's a bullet dodged ahah I think all us fg people try to forget it's entire existence tbh but at least we're all good friends xD
